Where to Eat in the Sooner State

I love BBQ! So, this month, I'm devoting the "Where to Eat" section to it. During the month of March, I'm going to make it my mission to eat at as many BBQ places as I can, in order to rank them (it's really just an excuse to eat a lot of BBQ). If you have a place you'd like to suggest, please email me. I'm always on the look out for a new favorite place.

Best BBQ in OKC

Right now, I'm going to give the honor to County Line BBQ, in Northeast OKC. I'll admit, I've had better (see the "Norman" section). But, County Line is very good! Plus, it has atmosphere. It's located in an old "speakeasy" from the 1930s, and the place has a lot of history.

Best BBQ in Norman

Without a doubt, hands down, the honor goes to Van's Pig Stand. I first ate at the Van's in Shawnee several years ago. I guess I had forgotten how good it was. Recently I tried the Norman location and it might be the best BBQ I've ever eaten! As I said, I'm still on the hunt, so I'll be updating this page soon. In the mean time, I highly recommend Van's!
